Woodhawk Carvings??
Woodhawk Carvings is the name that I have given my enterprise. I carve wildlife sculptures from raw wood. There’s nothing all that unusual in that, except that I do most of my carving with a chainsaw. No two pieces are ever identical. I use a lot of natural driftwood in most of my carvings and each piece is indeed unique. My work is unique and easily recognized.
In addition to “carvings”, I also make various pieces of furniture such as “coffee tables” or “end tables” out of natural cedar pieces. The “tops” may even be “burned” with a design of bears, deer, or turkeys in natural settings.
I have a large selection of "pre-designed" pieces that are suitlable for retail sales (i.e. Tourist Shops, Flea Markets, Bait Shops) and are available for immediate delivery. If you are in the market for a "custom work of art" that is Nature or Wildlife themed, I have a number of pieces that fit that requirement. If you have an idea for a single item or multiple items, I can carve those for you as well. I can carve furniture ... I can carve wall art ... I can carve almost anything that you want in a Nature/Nautical/Wildlife themed piece. I WELCOME custom work and have quite a portfolio that I will be posting online. Custom pieces require a minimum 50% deposit and a minimum two month order time.

"GUARDIAN EAGLE" Two Tiered Cyprus Table
As you browse through this site you will see “photo samples” of the work that I have done in the past. I will be “displaying” my staple products such as my “Driftwood Fish” or my “Snook, Redfish, and Bass” carvings. These items I generally have “in stock” although large orders will require a minimum of 5 business days to fill.
I will also be “displaying” some of my “Trophy Series” carvings as well as a number of custom ordered pieces that I have done for various organizations or individuals. If you have a “custom design” of an aquatic nature in mind I can carve it for you. Browse through the pages and you will see the quality of my work.
The above pieces are examples of what can be done with a "chain saw" and some "natural driftwood"!

"TROPHY SERIES"
I'm a fisherman!! I have "fished" most of my life, having grown up in Florida. Fishing tournaments are "BIG" around here. Quite a few of my friends have fished in more than "just a few" tournaments and some have placed in the "top spots" in these events. One thing that I noticed was a lack of "Fishing Themed Awards" in the presentation ceremonies. It seemed that all that was ever given was your standard "Bowling Tournament" style trophy that everyone gets at most any type of event. I felt that the participants in these events needed more than a "gold toned, genuine plastic" bowling trophy or hang on the wall plaque.
My solution to this was to design a hand carved, hand finished "Trophy" for the fisherman that placed in the "top spots" of these "Tournaments". In the pictures above, it was a "Redfish Tournament" hence the Redfish design. This evolved into my "Trophy Series" carvings and have included "Snook", "Redfish", "Bass", as well "Fish Themed" wall hangings and end tables. These pieces are "hand carved", hand finished, and hand laquered! Why give your normal "Bowling Tourney" trophy when you can give your Tournament winners a UNIQUE, HAND MADE, work of art!
I will "custom design" your Fishing Tournament presentation awards. Each "Trophy" is unique work of art!. Give an award that will make your Tournament winners smile! |
